This paper firstly presents the past literature reviews on test anxiety, parentalrearing styles and the correlation between the two. Secondly, Based on theoreticalliterature, this paper selects test anxiety and parental rearing styles as a topic and abreakthrough point respectively, takes235students as study objects, who are allsenior high school students from Xianyang and Xingping, to explore the senior’stest anxiety, parental rearing styles, and their correlations through questionnaires. Itindicates parental rearing styles play an important role in the seniors’ emotion, andturns out finally.Degree of seniors’ test anxiety differs greatly in gender and classes, the source ofstudents,and it shows that girls’ test anxiety is higher than those of boys, studentsfrom common class is higher than those from the key class, the urban students ishigher than those from rural students. Parental rearing styles varies significantly inchildren’s gender, class and the source of students. The differences in child’s genderfocus on the following aspects: boys get more understanding and preference than girlsfrom parents, at the same time boys also get more fathers’ over-interference thangirls. In terms of the differences in class, the students of common class get moreover-protection, over-interference, refusal and denial from mothers and more refusaland denial from fathers than those who are from key class. The differences ofstudents’ location are reflected in the following factors: compared with rural students,the urban students receive more overprotection, over-interference from parents.The analytical results show that parents’ warmth and understanding issignificantly negative to seniors’ test anxiety, whereas over-protection andover-interference, severe punishment,refusal and denial are positively related toseniors’ test anxiety.
