Incentive Mechanism For College Counselors

Counsellors team is a main constituent part of the university’s teaching and administrative crew, and it is the backbone to carry out moral education as well as ideological and political education in the universities. Also, it is the organizer, instructor and executor of the daily ideological and political education and administrative works of the university students and act as their tutor and guide on their growing process. So the establishment and consummation of university counsellor’s motivation system is an important content of human resource management and development in universities. It has practical significance on forming reasonable resource allocation, as well as on forming motivation system that " better position for capable person, better payment for a job well-done" to fully motivate the counsellors’ positivety and creativity and minimize the brain drain for crew maintanance to achieve the university development objective. This paper takes the counsellors team construction of XXXX university as an example to diagnoses the status and problems of XXXX university’s counsellors’ motivation system through questionnaire survey and puts up countermeasures and a train of thought on how to establish and consummate it. The paper is divided into 6 parts:PartⅠ(preface) describes the background, objective and significance of the selected topic and determines the research thought and method.PartⅡsummarizes the related theory and domestic and overseas counsellor motivation and its research situation. After that, it reveals the enlightenment that brought by the exist research works through literature review.PartⅢintroduces the basic information and a series of motivation measures of XXXX University and deeply analyses the results of questionnaire survey.PartⅣfurther analyses the existing problems and their reasons of the counsellor’s motivation system of XXXX university on the basis of questionnaire survey.Part V puts up the improving measures and strategy in allusion to the existing problems and their reasons according to the principle of counsellor motivation system establishment to form and consummate the motivation system.Part VI, as the ending, abstracts the common characters of university counsellors’ motivation system construction and points out the shortage of the research as well as future direction of efforts.
