Xi’an is a famous tourism city. As an emerging economic developed city, Xi’an is one of the important strategic cities of Guanzhong-Tianshui Economic Area. This renowned world-class historical and cultural city, which is a new modernization, ecological and economic metropolis in China even in the world, successfully hosted the2011Annual B World Horticultural Expo Xi’an city wall and a marathon, in a more intuitive way to let the whole world see the rapid development of Xi’an, see the historical and cultural city of Xi’an visibility, with more fast ways to promote the development of the Xi’an city residents sports consumption market prosperity, But after the statistical analysis, the Xi’an city per capita sports consumption level is not as dweller income level of growth, so that the Xi’an city sports consumption level difference is large, consumption level is not due to regular growth of per capita income, consumption level is not neat, unreasonable structure. On urban residents sports consumption in Xi’an average research and scholarly papers rarely, few researches have been done to resident sport consumption of Xi’an city, and they could not analyze the development trend of great Xi’an city from perspective of sports consumption level, thus, it’s necessary to carry on a research about the resident sport consumption of Xi’an city.In this paper, we use the literature consultation, questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics and logical analysis methods, with the principle of combining theory and practice, carry out a field survey about the current situation of sports consumption level in Xi’an city, and make an in-depth analysis to the survey results, following are the conclusions:1:Most residents in Xi’an city are in favor of the sports consumption, so the sports consumption has a good prospect for development.2:The frequency of Xi’an city residents to watch sports games associated greater with the age and income. The income is the most important factor for them to participate in the paid sports consumption.3:Overall, spectator sports consumption is relative lower4:Overall, participatory sports consumption spends less to achieve the purpose of exercise.5:Substantial sports consumption still account for the vast majority.6:The formation of the resident sports consumer interest comes mainly from the physical demands of highlighting the Health First philosophy.Development countermeasure:Government should be concerned about the fitness needs of the public to take appropriate economic compensation policy, increase the opening up of the school sports ground. The project of the ball, parade classes, swimming, rock climbing should be set up in the school; Do a better job for the future community sports facilities planning and layout; Avoid the sameness and disorder of the current ground. Great efforts should be made to train fitness instructors, to serve the community. In addition, according to the needs of the residents, the Community Games and the high level of competition loved by the masses should also be organized frequently. The business companies of sports consumption should make the necessary market research, access to the consumption demand, make the appropriate physical fitness consumer products price, set the physical fitness consumer items needed by public, raise the overall quality of service, honestly. Focus on the people’s livelihood; Narrow the gap between rich and poor, and guide the resident consumer is the currently important practical tasks in our country.
