Since the 1980s,the issue of teacher’s professional development has beenconcerned in educational field. In the 30 years of theoretical study and practice,people know more and more about the connotation and the laws of and alsoaccumulated a wealth of experience in promoting the teacher’s professional.In thebackground of Quality Education and new curriculum reform, the quality of teachersis a key to the success of education reform. School is a main position for teacher’sdevelopment and people all believe that promoting the teacher’s professionaldevelopment is the the focus of school management,so School should create a goodenvironment for teachers to improve their professional standards .As the highestexecutive leadership of school, Principal plays an important role in promoting theteacher’s professional development. From view of principal, structuring the strategiesof promoting teacher’s professional development is of great significance. This paperleads people to know the necessity and the importance by analyzing the importantposition of principals in guiding the professional development of teachers.Then underthe guidance of the theory of the teacher’s professional development and the theory oflearning organization, structuring the system of strategies of how principals leadteachers to improve their professional development from culture guiding, ,which canbe strategic references for principals in guiding teachers to inprove their quailties.The thesis is divided into four parts:The first part:mainly introduce the core conception of professionalism, teacher’sprofessional development,guiding, principals guiding and the teacher’s professionaldevelopment which is leaded by principals. First,The work of teacher’s is aprofession.Then,compare the concepts of teacher’s professional development of thehome and abroad,so to grasp the essence of it; Second, compare the concepts ofmanagement,leading and the guiding to clear that principals should guiding theteacher’s professional development.The scond part: from the main emphasis of the management of teachers and thechange of roles of the principals in educational reform to emphasize importance andnecessity of principals guiding in teacher’s professional development since the reformand open. In the management of teachers,people paid attention to the work,then to thepeople ,and then to the development of teachers. the development of teachers should be attached importance to in the work of the principals. A principal is a modeler of theculture of a school,a leader of the curriculums and a booster in the teacher’sprofessional development,so promoting the teacher’s professional development is themost important thing for the principalsThe third part:mainly introduce the theoretical principles of the teacher’sprofessional development,including the theory of teachers’ professional developmentwhich contains quality structure of teachers , the stages of law of the teachers’professional development, as well as the analysis of the influence factors of theteachers’ professional development and the theory of organization.This introduce isthe basis of the strategies construction and also prove the importance of theprincipal’s guiding.The fourth part:the main thing is to construct the strategise of how to guide theteachers’ professional development for a principal from the cultural guiding,organization guiding, system guiding and action guiding. Cultural guiding is soul,Principals should guide the ideas and the valus of the teachers in their professionaldevelopment,help the teachers to make reasonnable plannings,and to creat a free,harmonious professional development environment; organization guiding isplatform.In order to guide the teachers’ professional development more effectively ,it’s very necessary for principals framework development platform for them.Thepromoting organization of teachers professional development in schools, teachers’professional development community,teachers professional development school areall good platforms for the growth of teachers. System guiding is security , Thesystems are effective measures in guiding and regulating the behaviors of the teachers’in their professional development,The establishment of an effective training system,education and scientific research system ,teacher evaluation system are necessary forteachers professional development.Action guiding is the key in the guiding strategiesfor principals, as the lead of the , teachers professional development,the principalsshould first to be a lifelong learners,reachers,and must constantly perfect theirpersonalities,so that to be the model of the teacher professional development .
