As the leader and administrator of the compulsory education school,the personal accomplishment and ability of the principal will directly determine the success or failure of a school.The inherent requirements of the principal's position determine that the principal should not only have a strong professional ability in the early stage of his career,but also need to continue the sustainable development of his professional ability.The professional development of principal's is a process of continuous learning,updating stage by stage and also a sustainable development.Therefore,it is of great value and significance to study the process of the growth of the principal's professional ability.This study is based on the case study of Principal Fu Daping of Chongqing Academy of Education Science Huayu Experimental School.This paper analyzes the characteristics and rules of their professional development,which provides reference for the professional development of other principals.Since June 1996,he has been the principal of Chongqing Experimental School for 20 years.He is also an excellent principal of Chongqing.Such a long time as a principal in a school,it is not uncommon in Chongqing and even in the whole country.This has its particularity,and it is precisely because of such a long time in the same school,which also promotes the maturity of the concept of running a school and the stable development of the professional,and therefore shows a better typicality.This study uses different kinds of research methods such as narrative,interviews and observation.Through a detailed description of the professional growth process of outstanding principals,it summarizes six characteristics.It contains planning the development of the school,creating a culture of education,leading the course teaching,leading the growth of teachers,school management and adjusting the external environment.The professional development of Principal Fu shows that the professional growth of an outstanding principal has several the following basic characteristics.First,the principal should be good at planning the common vision of the developmentof the school,and lead teachers and students to achieve the common vision.Second,the principal needs to truly establish the first thought of moral education,and comprehensively strengthen the construction of moral education system.Third,the principal should pay attention to the inheritance and coherence of the work.Fourth,the principal needs to be good at using family and social resources.Finally,the principal needs to continue to learn and reflect on the characteristics of the school.
