High School "cultural Life" The Citizen Moral Education Research

With the development of opening up to the world and the improvement of economicstructure, people’s all-round development is consolidated by upgrading material lives.However, the rapid development of material civilization also brings some negative factors.The immorality phenomena that are caused by the“efficiency first”principle, which isbelieved as the exclusive principle in market economy, are not infrequent. Therefore, it isvery significant to emphasize civic ethics in Ideology and Policy Class, especially in“Culture Life”, in high school education. From academy perspective, civic ethics educationfavors not only the development of moral education theory, but also the heritage of Chinesetraditional ethics and the development of Chinese national spirit. From practical perspective,civic ethics education favors the continuity of traditional ethics culture, refines citizen’sethics, and progresses students’overall development.This paper discusses the following three sections:In the first section, this paper analyzes the significance of civic ethics education in highschool. It provides the connotation of civic ethics education, including the definition of civicethics and that of civic ethics education. And then it addresses curriculum criterion of civicethics education in“Culture Life”in high school education to illustrate that characteristics of“Culture Life”call for civic ethics education. Finally, this paper states the necessity of civicethics education because this kind education is helpful for students’overall development andsocial harmony and progress.In the second section, this paper analyzes the problems existing in civic ethicseducation and the reasons for them.“Culture Life”does practical exploration for civic ethicseducation and gets general consent from the masses. Most of young students expressesstrong desire for the improvement of their own ethics and shows their concern aboutunhealthy moral behaviors in society and about the conflict between the advance of ethicspromotion and delay of ethical practical. However, there are many problems that need to beconquered. The conception of civic ethics education is expected to be clearer; the content ofcivic ethics education needs to be addressed in more details; the form and the method ofcivic ethics education calls for innovation; the education of civic ethics is required to be more effective; and the teachers’general quality is supposed to be upgraded. This paper digsout the reasons for these problems and works out measures to solve these problems.In the third section, paper analyzes the strategy for civic ethics education in“CultureLife”. First, the advanced and full conception of civic ethics education in“Culture Life”should be established. To enhance the influence of civic ethics, the education method shouldbe paid more attention to the inspiration of students’moral emotion. Second, clarity of thecontent of civic and moral education should be improved. On the one hand, civic ethicseducation in“Culture Life”should value students’demand to predict potential ethicalproblems. On the other hand, the theory should be combined with practice during the civicethics education. Third, the innovation should be added on the form and method of civicethics education. Forth, effectiveness and aims of civic ethics education should be combined.Fifth, teachers’general quality is supposed to be upgraded.
