The key concept is the key knowledge in the center of the subject position, including important concepts, principles and theories which have basic understanding and interpretation about the phenomenon.Modern scientific education emphasizes the further study should be based on a small amount of the key concept.Although previous studies have shown that young children cannot learn to key concept turely, it is necessary to carry out the teaching activities based on the key concept to the children,to enrich the key concept of the related experience, for the children’s future study stage. This study’s purpose is to investigate teacher’s understanding about the key concept, analyze the questions existing in the concept of teaching, and propose some advise for the teaching activities based on the key concept in the kindergarten.Through the interview method, case analysis and observation,this study takes "magnet" activities for example, entering the activities of science, to survey teachers’ cognitive of the key concept "magnets magnetic",analyze the questions existing in the concept of teaching, and probe the teacher "magnets magnetic" as the content of teaching activities in the design and implement of the present situation. The research gives some advise for teachers based on the key concept of the teaching activities on the basis of current situation of understanding.The research comes to some conclusions:the teachers’ cognitive of "magnets magnetic" stays in a commonsensible level;the resource of the understanding about "magnets magnetic" mainly comes from the middle and primary school. Lacking of understanding about the key concept, teachers tend not to choose around "magnets magnetic" to develop theme events. In "the magnet of magnetic" for the contents of the scientific activities, the teacher usually uses a specific concept as a teaching content inquiry to perform the activities.But there are some problems in the inquiry activities such as teachers often show lack of the knowledge about young children’ cognitive developmental level when setting goals, misunderstand the teaching goal and are lack of scientific thinking ability development of children’s attention.According the survey, this study proposes related sugestions to help teachers to design teaching activities based on the key concept,from four aspects as follows: dealing the relationship between the "half a bucket of water" and "a bucket of water";designing theme activities reasonably, taking "key concept" to deep;paying attention to explore process, and promoting children development of scientific thinking;"small classes" form of teaching is the protection of teaching effect.
