Groups of students studying abroad play a very important role in the process of the rise and development of vocational education of the Republic of China. As the Groups who have received the baptism of the advanced education abroad, they had the ideal of "Education Saving the Country" and " Industry Saving the Country", accepted the new education, learned the advanced knowledge, discovered the importance of vocational education for national development, and attempted to pull this new form of education into China. On the eve of the founding of the Republic of China, the introduction and advocacy of students studying abroad for Industrial Education is the foundation of the rise and brewing of vocational education of the Republic of China. After the founding of the Republic of China, many students studying abroad advocated for vocational education, they introduce d the ideology of the foreign vocational education, studied the domestic development of vocational education, and established theories of vocational education; they participated in vocational education activities, or investigated and advocated vocational education, or personally founded vocational education, or established the organizations and gathered strength to set off a wave of vocational education. In the development process of vocational education, the students studying abroad played an important role, and made a significant contribution.The research is under the guide of historical materialism, uses literature and historical research to explore and organize the materials, and sorts out the thread of thought about students studying abroad and the development of vocational education of the Republic of China, explores the contribution of students studying abroad in vocational education in the Republic of the development process. The paper is divided into six parts, the first part is an introduction, covering the topics of this study reason, the contents of the literature review, research ideas and research methods. The second part laids the foundation for the development of industrial education on the eve of the founding of the Republic of China, mainly introduces the advocacy and promotion of the late Qing Dynasty students for industrial education, and laids the foundation for the development of vocational education of the Republic of China. The third part is students studying abroad and the introduction of the west vocational education thought, generalizes that students studying abroad introduce the west vocational education theories and pull the ideas of vocational education into the domestic situation. The fourth part is the transmutation of the students studying abroad and the vocational education ideas of the Republic of China, and discusses the students explore ideas on vocational education and construct the vocational education theory, reveal the change impetus of students on the domestic professional educational thought development. The fifth part is the students and the development of vocational guidance of the Republic of China, through the introduction of the students on foreign vocational guidance of thinking, the discuss on domestic guidance, and vocational guidance practice, revealing the development of students in vocational guidance the role of the process. The last part of is the conclusion, through the analysis of the preceding summary, summary the contribution of students studying abroad groups in the vocational education development process of the Republic of China.
