An Individual-case Study On Running Model Of General High School In Poor Rural Regions Of Chongqing

General high school education, as the higher basic education, is responsible for sending qualified talents to higher institution of learning and training labor reserve forces for society. It is a double assignment. But, for a long time, general high schools are rife in single running model whose purpose is to go to a school of a higher grade. This single, rigid running model not only makes students not accommodate the requirements of society, but also hinders the development of general high schools.To implement and fulfill education policies of Communist Party into general high schools overall, to realize the change from examination-oriented education system to education for all-around development, we must start from the nature and assignment of general high school, and push forward the reform of running model. Implementing and promoting the reform of running model in general high schools not only adapts to the development of society but the requirements of students’body and mind development. It is also a necessary measure of mobilizing enthusiasm of general high schools. However, education circles are weak in individual-case studies on running model of general high schools in poor rural regions, so by document analysis, investigating examination methods, studying the development of running model of Shizhu high school which has hundred years history in Shizhu, Chongqing, and emphatically analyzing recent running model, the writer ponders over related problems about running models of general high schools in rural regions.Besides the foreword, the article is composed of four parts.In the foreword, the article discussed research content, research purpose, the reasons of study, comprehensive document, research reasons and methods, research main points and difficulty points and creative points.The first part summarized the development of running model of Shizhu high school on the basis of overall collection and analysis of documents.The second part analyzed the practice of "Harmonious Education" running model from management, moral education, teaching, scientific research, campus civilization on the basis of expounding the meaning of "Harmonious Education" running mode、 the reason foundation and the frame.The third part analyzed the good effects, difficulty problems and the reasons which cause the difficult problems of Shizhu high schools’running model. The good effects lie in three aspects:the scale of school gets larger, the condition gets better; the effect and profit gets higher, the teaching quality gets improved; the distinguishing feature gets prominent and the level of conducting gets better. The problems which we are facing are the lack of the motive power in special field, the enhancement of teachers; the single source of funds, the lack of school funds; the deficiency of students’management system, the overburden of teachers; the indeterminacy of future development orientation; and the reasons for restriction of external and home environment.The forth part further discussed the nature of the running model reform. The author points out that the nature of the running model reform lies in the system innovation of running methods, and the basic theory is the learning organization theory, and pointed out the reform of the running model should follow four principles—seek truth from facts, elasticity, self regulation, combining the practice and theory research. On the basis of learning organization theory and four principles, the writer proposed four measures: accurate positioning, conduct diversified mode of running model, which is the soul of the reform; improve financing mechanism, increase the capital investment, which is the indemnity of the reform; improve teachers’professional treatment, promote the development of professional ability, which is the precondition of the reform; create a strong leading group, which is the key of the reform.
