According to the Chinese Education Modernization by 2035,issued in February 2019,the diversified and characteristic development of ordinary senior high schools should be encouraged.As a matter of fact,as what is mentioned in the Outline of the National Medium and Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan(2010-2020),issued as early as2010,efforts should be made to promote the diversified development of ordinary senior high schools,to promote the diversification of school-running system,and to carry out the diversification experiment of school-running mode of senior high schools.In Shenzhen,the forefront of reform and opening up,the deepening reform of education is essential.In recent years,the cooperation on elementary education,higher education,vocational education,student exchange,teacher training,scientific research projects and academic visits between Shenzhen and the well-known universities in Hong Kong and the mainland has been carried out in different levels and worked effectively,one extraordinary example of which is the Chinese University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen School,run cooperatively by the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Shenzhen University.In elementary education,the new mode of “cooperative school-running” has become more and more popular in various districts in Shenzhen,and worked effectively.This study,based on the background of “cooperative school-running”,conducted a case study on the H School in Shenzhen to discuss the characteristics of running an ordinary senior high school under the mode.Firstly,this paper introduces the background,origin,purpose and significance of the research,a literature review on school-running characteristics and cooperation in running school,and the main content as well as the method of the research.Then,two core concepts of school-running characteristics and cooperation in running school are defined and the comparison and contrasts among relevant concepts are presented,on the basis of which,three modes of running school by key universities in different places and the elements of characteristics of running ordinary senior high schools under the mode of cooperation in running school are summarized.This paper summarizes the relevant theories of cooperative school-running,and analyses the elements of the characteristics of ordinary high schools under the cooperative school-running mode.Through field investigation,literature review,in-depth interview and other methods,the characteristics of the H School in Shenzhen are discussed as a case,and the SWOT analysis is conducted.Finally,with the help of Ashby's "genetic environment theory" on university development,on the basis of analyzing the current situation of strategy of characteristic development of the H School in Shenzhen,the paper takes the No.1 Middle School Affiliated to Central China Normal University for reference,makes comparisons between them and thus presents some effective suggestions on the future development of the school.In this paper,the characteristics of common high schools under the mode of "cooperative school-running" are studied comprehensively by using the knowledge theory of educational management,educational administration and other disciplines.It summarizes the basic mode,characteristics and operation mechanism of cooperative school-running.Based on Yuan Xianwei's classification of school-running characteristics,this paper summarizes the school-running characteristics of Shenzhen H School from the perspective of school-running modes as follows: emphasize on “implement” to cooperate and construct a harmonious education system,a modern school system,a team of teachers with four qualities and a Harmonious Curriculum system.In general,based on the SWOT analysis the advantages of the school are greater than the disadvantages.Although the school has not been running for a long time,it has a higher starting point,and the cooperative school-runners provide resource and platform support.At present,it seems that the internal governance structure of the school is relatively reasonable,and young teachers are growing rapidly.Of course,there are also disadvantages such as the overall young and inexperienced teachers,and the quality of students needs to be improved.At the same time,opportunities accompany challenges.From the perspective of district government,cooperative school-running platform,school itself and the state,the development opportunities of the school are good.At the same time,from the perspective of external and internal challenges,the school faces many threats.Therefore,this paper interprets the present situation of the school's characteristic development strategy in the light of the school's development plan,compares and refers to the characteristic development strategy of No.1 High School Afflicated to Central China Normal University,and puts forward corresponding optimization strategies: In the process of further deepening cooperation,it develops steadily and generates its own characteristics in the process of inheritance and localization.This study further enriches the relevant theory and content of "cooperative school-running" through the research on the characteristics of school-running under the cooperative school-running mode,and provides useful reference for the educational administrative departments,school administrators and educational and teaching workers.
