With the curriculum reform, an increasing attention has been paid to the evaluation of primary school students’oral communicative competence. According to the curriculum requirement of oral communicative competence in "Chinese curriculum standard (experiment draft), this research is based on the analysis of the language communicative competence of primary schools in Pinggu, Beijing, and formed classroom evaluation system through experimental operation trying to build oral communication ability. It explores the formative evaluation of the role and effectiveness in promoting primary school oral communicative competence development and puts forward a workable and effective methods and strategies for evaluation of students’oral communicative competence to make a comprehensive evaluation of it, so as to achieve the purpose of promoting the overall development of students.The thesis is divided into four parts:Introduction part and three chapters. In "Introduction" part, it proposes the research problems, explains the meaning of the research, defines the core concept and introduces the results of theoretical studies. In Chapter Ⅰ, it clarifies the concepts and methods of evaluation of oral communication in the new curriculum background, and deeply analyses the status quo and problems of the present Chinese in primary schools in Pinggu, Beijing. In Chapter Ⅱ, it builds a formative assessment system of primary school oral communicative competence, and explores the formative evaluation of oral communicative competence of pupils in practical application of classroom and its effect. In ChapterⅢ, it puts forward the proposed evaluation methods and strategies to improve primary school oral communicative competence, which provides help and reference for teachers to carry out the evaluation of oral communication ability in the classroom.
