With the development of socio-economic, people pay more and more attention tothe effects of the personal knowledge and ability in the society. Regardless of the levelof personal knowledge or ability are trained in the educational activities. Along withthe development of the technology and innovation, the traditional way of education isundergoing a serious challenge to modern information education. Educationalactivities to achieve short-term and efficient, can be entertaining to become a hot topicof modern education to discuss.Educational game is presented in such a background. In traditional, educationalknowledge is passive and most of the students’ learning in a forced, this is obviously aserious impact to the teaching effectiveness. Electronic games are modern student’smain tool of relax and entertainment. If we can combine both organic, then thestudents’ learning is no longer forced to but the initiative, this will reach a state ofharmony of the students and learning. Educational games’industry is developing veryfast, but the author found that the education game on the structure design of the sameprinciples and standards has no uniform standard. This leads to that many games ontentertaining or educational are not useful, cannot seize the player’s state of mind, sothat it cannot achieve the role of the entertaining. The author in previous researchexperience, accesses to the extensive literature on the basis of the five dimensions ofthe structural design of educational games, and discusses the five levels, combinedwith the primary school "arithmetic" knowledge designing an education game. I hopethis article could provide some help on the structural design of educational games.This article is divided into six parts: The first part introduces the background, thestatus quo, meaning, content and methods. The second part introduces the RPG typeof educational games for a comprehensive overview, including the definition ofrelated concepts, the characteristics of the RPG and the advantage of RPG educationalgames. The third part of this paper gives theory basis, including learning theory,teaching theory, psychological theory and other related theory. The fourth part is the core of this paper. In this part of the first mode of application of the educationalgames were analyzed, and then puts forward education game structure design of thefive aspects: the knowledge level, performance level, emotional level, operation leveland feedback level. The fifth part is the author elementary school "arithmetic" basicpoints, use RPG Maker XP software, according to the proposed five levels of a designeducational game.I really want to put forward some suggestions and references in this study for thestructural design of educational games. Also educational games such modern meansof education in the first-line teaching to play the role of its application.
