[Abstract] School education in high school under the weight of the college entrance system is easy to produce disciplinary bias. Fine Arts education in high school long-term along with "strongly advocated to improving teaching position," but the teaching position is still at a relative disadvantage state. After nine years of compulsory education stage, high school students generally have a basic appreciation of aesthetics and strongly desire to express their personal ideas. Fine Arts courses will cultivate students’abilities of cognizing, learning, expressing and communicating. Fine Arts textbook, a carrier of beauty knowledge, plays an important role in cultivating awareness of aesthetics. However, it received little attention in current China’s high school. Today’s Fine Arts education system and teaching materials of China is born out those of modern countries like Europe, the United States and Japan. Most modern countries emphasize on research of Fine Arts textbook. Their developing of Fine Art textbook and relevant policy implementation have achieved great development in the aspects of forward-looking, innovative thinking and diversity. In the formulation of Fine Arts textbook, we can not copy mechanically from abroad but should explore, in keeping with education policy, regionally character and local students. As it is, how to develop a series of Fine Arts textbook which are suitable for our which are suitable for teachers in teaching and students in learning is very significant.This article focuses on discussing the Fine Arts textbook of high school published by Guangxi Fine Arts Publishing House ("Guangxi Fine Arts Publishing House edition"). Various research methods that documentary method, network method, historical approach, questionnaire survey, interviewing method, observation method, comparative method, content analysis and data analysis are used in this article. This article is composed of six parts. In the first part, the author presents an analysis of each concept that "teaching material","textbook" and "Fine Arts textbook" and point out what is the focus of study. The second part, there is a brief introduce of the Fine Arts course and textbook in the aspect of developing and current situation. The third part focused on the comparative study of different editions of Fine Arts textbook. This chapter first discusses two widely used Fine Arts textbooks in Guangxi, the outline edition published by Guangxi Fine Arts Publishing House ("Guangxi Fine Arts Publishing House edition") and the outline edition published by People Education Press ("People Education Press edition"). The author gives a horizontal contrast between these two outline editions in respects of rhetorical foundation, knowledge structure, curriculum and module content. The following vertical contrast is the Outline edition ("Guangxi Fine Arts publishing House edition" and "People Education Press edition") with the "New Standards edition" published by People Fine Arts Publishing House. These two contrast studies show the advantages and disadvantages of each edition of Fine Arts textbook. This part greatly helps reader to understand this research in theory and content. In the fourth chapter, the author talks about the problem about using the Fine Arts textbook of "Guangxi Fine Arts publishing House edition" with some data from questionnaire survey. Based on the modern education concept and "New Curriculum Reform" policy, the fifth chapter gives some proposals when implementing the Fine Arts textbook of "Guangxi Fine Arts publishing House edition" In the sixth chapter, the author provides a teaching case of Monumental Sculpture (Chapter Ⅺ, Section Ⅱ, Guangxi Fine Arts edition) to analyze teaching theories. The paper finally put forward the idea:"art teaching can not be limited to textbook knowledge or completely be divorced from textbooks. Teachers should play a crucial role while using the textbook. Teachers should fully use all of resources to teaching activity but neglect with negative perfunctory attitude...Fine Arts textbook-compiling should pay more attention to’unity of knowledge and practice’,’unity of Times and local character ’unity of foundation and practicability’,’unity of particularity and universality’and’unity of aesthetics and practicability’and to the development of advancing and renewal of knowledge.’...
