As a visual art and text to convey to the readers of writing ideas, The illustrations is regarded as a complement and extension to the text, can reflect the things described by words intuitive, visual and specific, thus enhancing the appeal of the text to the reader, to attract readers to further reflection and learning. Meanwhile, as an important part of Chinese teaching materials, Illustrations is an important resource for beautifying materials and plays a decorative role, so that readers have sensory awareness of the text, and to meet the needs of the readers appreciation of the beauty. Admittedly, illustrations makes an important role to an extension of the language extension and supplement in the class, Therefore, it must be strict in the compile, also must have the accuracy, relevance, uniqueness, artistic, etc..As an important resource for Chinese teaching, Illustrations is an indispensable part of Chinese teaching materials; as a second language in Chinese teaching, it plays an irreplaceable role. It can make the abstract text intuitional, concrete, visualization, and thus to stimulate students’ interest, to improve students’ memory, and deepen the connotation of the text, expanding students’ cultural horizons and to promote emotional education and aesthetic education of students. However, in the real classroom teaching,, the use of textbook illustrations is still unsatisfactory, in the classroom, many teachers are very little emphasis on illustrations in the textbooks, and even ignore the existence of the textbook illustrations, so that the students are only attracted by its bright colors, and rarely observe the illustrations carefully, learn the hidden knowledge (information) from the illustrations, finally makes the illustration slowly tends to marginalized.Basic education curriculum reform at the beginning of the new century, put forward new requirements on the compilation and use of the illustrations in the Chinese textbook, teachers should make full use of Illustration to organization classroom teaching, writing training, develop students’ ability to learn. With the development of society, curriculum reform time and time again, Chinese teaching materials is in continuous change and the change of the text illustrations are closely linked with the change of textbook, as a result, textbook illustrations are also improved, and many text illustrations are replaced more matched with the picture of the text, and a lot of black and white illustrations are changed to a brightly colored ones, which is closer to the students’physical and mental development in the primary school, also stimulate students’ enthusiasm.This text is focus on the research of illustrations in the Chinese teaching textbook at primary school on a new curriculum background, Through the contrast and analysis of textbook illustration in old and new textbook, to state the change of Chinese textbook illustration in primary school at the new curriculum background, statistics and analysis of the its total change, at the same time, also have the same analysis of old and new textbook illustration of article text, you can see a more intuitive textbook illustration of the change in the context of the new curriculum, to provide some reference for the compilation of the textbook illustrations.
