In today’s illustrated primary Chinese textbooks,illustrations play the role that the text can’t replace with its own unique characteristics.As the most convenient image course resource in teaching,it should be fully developed and utilized.However,in teaching practice,the use of illustrations is not optimistic.Therefore,based on the primary Chinese textbooks of People’s Education Press,this paper studies the illustration teaching of primary Chinese textbooks.The research idea of the whole thesis is "Summary of illustrations-Representations situation-Problem discovering-Problem analyzing-Problem Solving".In the "Summary of illustrations" stage,I elaborate the concept,historical evolution,quantity,classification,functions and features of the illustrations of primary Chinese textbooks.After that,I investigate the present situation and the existing problems of illustration teaching of primary Chinese textbooks through investigation method.And then,I analyze the existing problems in depth.In the "Problem Solving" stage,I put forward the strategy of illustration teaching of primary Chinese textbook.From the perspective of teaching,I started from the overall teaching of Chinese teaching,and put forward the illustration usage strategy in the four teaching methods of "Literacy and Writing","Reading","Writing","Oral Communication".From the perspective of studying,I made suggestions for the teacher to guide the students how to read and use illustrations.
