Research Of The Development Strategic Of Henan Private Higher Education Institutes

Private higher education institutes (HEIs) is an important achievement in the structural reform ofhigher education. Since our Reform and Open Policy had been implemented, after more than30years oftireless effort, private HEIs have grown rapidly. It does not only increase in quantity, but also formscharacteristic structure, educational level and distinctive feature. Private HEIs played an important role inthe process of the development of higher education, which is a significant component part of the highereducation in china. As the one of the earliest provinces, private HEIs developed rapidly in Henan.Statistical communiqué on the2011Educational Development of Henan shows that by the end of2011, thenumber of Private HEIs is33, students258,900, accounting for17.26%of the total number of highereducation enrolled students.With the development of Henan private HEIs, the questions also are growing. For example, similarityof school system, lack of clear-cut strategic, indistinct characteristic, pursuit of integration and trend tofollowing public university and so on. So, how to make the strategy decision, develop Henan private HEIscontinuously and healthily, is the topic of this thesis.On the basis of a comprehensive summarizing and reviewing of existing results, take ShengdaEconomics Trade and Management College of Zhengzhou for an example, by a case study, the thesisanalyzes using theory of strategy management and SWOT method, discusses the satiation of Henan privateHEIs, the strategy analysis and choice after Shengda converting into an independent private regular HEIs.This thesis is intended to achieve two main objectives. First, it can provide a new solution for developmentstrategy for Shengda. Second, it can give references for Henan private HEIs.
