An Analysis Of Strengthening The Team Construction Of Tutors In Private Universities In Shengda Province

Since their birth in1980s, private colleges and universities have grown rapidly. Today, they are experiencing an explosion in number. According to official statistics, According to the authorative statistics by the end of Mrach,2011,there are all around386independently established private universities in China,including312independent colleges with the registered students of about4million,Among them,Henan Province has24private universities,including13independent institutions (and4of them are secong_tier collages affiliated to public universities).Private higher education have produced great amounts of talents, and helped satisfy the diverse educational needs and ease the final burden of the country. These contributions have made it an essential part of the country’s higher education. Zhengzhou Shengda College of Economics, Trade&Management was established in1993and began recruiting students in the next year. Like other private colleges and universities, this19-year-old college needs to strengthen the ideological and political Education among its students to produce qualified minds hand hands for building a more modernized socialist China. In this time of fundamental social transformation and greater reform, the diversification of values and changed social values and standards have produced great impacts on the outlook on the world and life, their values among college students. In private institutions of higher education, where the strengthening work is more needed, student counselors play a vital role as the educator implementing the work. In spite of the favorable environment produced by the state’s policies, for enhancing their political quality and profession expertise, there are still many problems in implanting these policies and in the institutions, which can only be solved through the coordinated efforts among the governments, institutions and student counselors. In Shengda, greater emphasis is put on bettering the counselor body, but many challenges remain because of the school’s small age, lack of well-formed school spirit, less than perfect management system and especially the unclear boundaries of work and responsibilities assigned to tutors.Therefore, to construct a better counseling group, Shengda has to find the causes and take measures to better the counsellors’ work environment. Also, the counselors have to keep up with the times and strive to improve themselves.The study of the construction of a better counseling body attempts to analyze the question in four parts. The first part gives the research question, analyzing its significance and reviews the literature. The second part explains the importance of studying the counseling body construction in private institutions of higher education, the development of the college conselling work and the necessity for greater efforts. The third part explores the problems in the counseling construction in Shengda College and analyzes the causes. Finally, the fourth part proposes the methods to a better job in constructing the counseling body, i.e. from the angels of polices, the school, and the counselors. That is exactly the point the articles tries to make.
