The Industrial Revolution made the Britain transit from the traditional and agricultural society to the new industrial society. The working-class played an important role in the Industrial Revolution and the process of Industrialization. They created the massive wealth and cultivated their culture quality. Meanwhile, the education level of workers provided knowledge and intellectual security to Industrialization process. So, the author of this paper tries to make the working-class’ education in this period as a research subject. From the angle of the working-class, it makes efforts to analysis the educational condition of the British working-class in Industrial Revolution. Meanwhile, find the interactive relationship between the working class education and industrialization. This essay divides into five sections:Introduction:This part is mainly to explain the purpose, significance and the meanings of this research, the domestic and foreign research overview, and the orientation of main research object.Chapter One:This section is mainly about Industrial Revolution has some influences on the working-classes’ education. In Britain, workers’ education is not only the objective requirement of the mechanization production, but also is under the influence of national politics and social change.Chapter Two:This section states various ways and approaches of workers’ education during the Industrial Revolution, points out that in order to adapt to the needs of industrial development, workers-form the moral conducts of obeying discipline and subjecting to management, besides their received cultural education such as reading, writing and reckoning from all kinds of schools and technological training at the Mechanics’ Institute and Adult School. In the late period of industrial revolution, the country got involved in the education, which offered institutional guarantees to workers’ education through educational funding, legislation and the setting of the relevant organizations, etc.Chapter Three:The author discusses the related effect of workers’ education in Industrial Revolution, and points out that the improvement of the workers’ education promotes the process of British industrialization. Because of this, the workers’ consciousness became more and more strong, which enhanced their cohesive force. At the same time, the self consciousness extended their children’s education, which made the whole society realized the importance of national education.Conclusion:This section gives a review of the whole essay and points out the "progressive" characteristics in the development of British education and the interactive relationship between the education and industrialization.
