The three major political revolutions established in modern Western capitalist regimes were the British Glorious Revolution,the American Revolutionary War,and the French Revolution.They all occupied an important historical position in the modern history of the world and had a tremendous impact on the capitalist countries such as Britain,France,and the United States,and the entire European society.In academia,the research on the three major political revolutions has been quite mature,but unfortunately,in the current history teaching in middle schools in our country,the importance of three major political revolutions has not yet been fully reflected.The history education at the middle school stage is an important period for students' history and world outlook.It is an important stage for cultivating students' multiple abilities and improving their quality.As the main carrier of history textbooks,it plays an important role in it.We should attach importance to the value and role of historical textbooks.In the junior high school stage,history courses are not only for exam-oriented education,but more importantly for the purpose of comprehensively improving students' quality education.Similarly,the study of the history of the world is an important part of the history curriculum in middle schools.Only by understanding the universal laws of world history can we better grasp the special laws of the development of Chinese social history.Therefore,it is very necessary to learn about the history of the world.Similarly,the three major political revolutions that have important significance in the modern history of the world are also the key content that middle school students need to grasp,it is the duty of history teachers to objectively and comprehensively let students understand the three major political revolutions is important for the country and the national development.At the same time,as more and more attention is drawn to historical comparison education,comparisons between countries on history education will not only exist in different national textbooks and teaching methods,but will also present a huge difference in the same historical event or content.This difference also reflects the different education methods and concepts of different countries.The author selects the country with a more advanced and perfect middle school history education,the United Kingdom,as a comparison of historical textbooks to present different educational concepts and education methods in the two countries,with a view to providing some suggestions for the development of Chinese middle school history teaching.This article intends to select China Beijing Normal University junior middle school history textbooks and British GCSE-history historical textbooks as research objects,and select"three major political revolutions for the establishment of modern western capitalist government"that are of great significance for both editions of textbooks.By comparing the styles and content selections,we find out the differences in the compilation of specific contents in the two editions of Chinese and English textbooks,show the advantages and disadvantages of the two editions,and see through the differences between the two editions of the teaching materials.Differences in goals and outlooks on history suggest that China has made some suggestions for improvement and development in history teaching,which is of great significance and value.This article contains the following three sections:The first part:The specific differences between the history textbooks of China and Britain on the "Three political revolutions of modern Western countries".By comparing the similarities and differences between the two versions of textbooks in terms of style,content selection,and so on,learn to draw on their strengths and strengths.The second part:The differences between the Chinese and English junior middle school history textbooks on the "three major political revolutions in the modern Western" auxiliary system,mainly reflected in the use of historical materials and exercises designed to present their respective advantages and disadvantages and desirable.The third part:The analysis of the reasons for the differences in the content of "the three major political revolutions in modern western countries" in the history textbooks of China and Britain.Due to the difference in the history of the two countries,the development of curriculum standards is different.Eventually,there are differences in the content.Besides,it provides some suggestions to the history teaching of middle schools in China from the aspects of teaching subjects and curriculum design.Finally summarize the full text.
