Analysis On The Present Situation Of Rural Elites In The Suburb Of Central China

With the implementation of the reform and opening up policy, Chinese rural social landscape has been greatly improved. Since the household contract responsibility system, as well as villagers’autonomy system is implemented, the rural villagers’production enthusiasm and initiative have got a larger increase. In the21st century, along with China’s socialist new rural development strategy proposed and practiced, our country’s rural social development will have a new opportunity.In this context of the times, all areas of our rural communities have emerged a number of rural elites with knowledge, ability, and prestige. Under the influence of them, many aspects of rural communities, such as politics, economic, social life and so on, have had a considerable development. This article is researching on an undeveloped village in the Midwest——H Village. Social stratification of H Village is gradually highlighted. In the village, there are many types of elites, but there is no one type of elite occupying the absolute dominance. Based on the analysis of the group of rural elites, the paper describes in detail the types and characteristics of the rural elites, and then combining with reality, discusses the comprehensive impact produced by the group of rural elites in H Village, and proposes some specific measures to promote rural elites itself to improve and play a good role, to meet the needs of rural social development. The article include four parts:First part is an introduction, mainly introducing the research background and significance, research review, the research theoretical basis, the research object and methods of the article.Second part, by examining the role played by the rural elite groups in different social fields, divides the elite groups of River Li Village into three types:political elites, economic elites and social elites. And combined with actual cases, it describes their formation conditions and characteristics.Third part focuses on the comprehensive influence of social development in rural areas produced by the rural elites, including positive effects and negative influence. These effects involve all aspects of village life, such as political life, economic life and social life.Fourth part actively explores countermeasures to improve the role and quality of elite groups. At present, in order to better promote the development of rural society, all types of organizations need to be actively developed, to build a platform for the rural elites displaying their abilities. At the same time, we also need to perfect the elite absorbed mechanism, strengthen villagers’ democratic supervision mechanism, and improve the scientific and cultural qualities of the elite groups.
