Leisure is a state of the truth of life, is our pursuit for the essence of life, and is a source of perfectness and development for a person. Rich leisure life not only is a source of growth and improvement of our teachers, but also makes sustainable growth power possible and easier for individuals. However, teachers in secondary vocational schools usually receive low social recognition and low sense of career accomplishment due to the distinctiveness of secondary vocational schools. They have many barriers in education and teaching. Vigorous leisure activities are beneficial to the teachers in secondary vocational schools in enhancing their self-cultivation as well as satisfying their happiness. Hence, the quality of leisure life of secondary vocational teachers is closely related to the professionalization, mental health, and moral virtue of their leisure quality of life.The paper is comprised of five sections.Section one starts with the research background, method, and objectives, and reviews the history and status quo of domestic and aboard studies on leisure problems.Section two clarifies the definitions of leisure, leisure time, leisure life, and so on, and examines the empirical state of the leisure life of the secondary vocational teachers in terms of leisure time, content of leisure activities, and type of leisure activities. The results show that the secondary vocational teachers have relatively litter leisure time and prefer popular activities and recreational activities.Section three analyzes the influencing factors of the secondary vocational teachers’ leisure life and the teachers’misunderstanding on leisure. The quantity of leisure life is a main index that measures the life satisfaction of the teachers, which is a misunderstanding.Section four identifies the relations between leisure and the growth of the secondary vocational teachers in terms of professionalization development, psychological health, and moral virtue. The results indicate that the positive leisure life has a significant impact on the growth and improvement of the secondary vocational teachers and in the meantime is a way of development and perfection of the teachers’life.Section five summarizes with some suggestions regarding the leisure life of the secondary vocational teachers. We need to sufficiently and deeply understand the significance of leisure, enrich our leisure life, and promote the quality of our leisure life.
