For the past few years, our people pay more attention to the leisure life under the influence of theconception about relaxation from the west. There are much leisure time than ever before with the practiceof weekends and Golden Week, which makes it possible for us to purse the leisure life of high quality.Leisure life in summer vocation is very special and important for Secondary students. Weather thesestudents can make full use of the leisure time, arrange their leisure activities scientifically, develop properleisure skills and form the right conception of leisure life or not, plays an vital role in promoting the fullydevelopment of Secondary students. Therefore it’s necessary to focus on the situation of Secondarystudents’ leisure life in their summer vocation.Based on stating the reason and the content of this study, The thesis defines three core concepts ofleisure summer vocation, leisure life and leisure education and clarifies three main theoretical foundations.Using documentary method, questionnaire method, interviewing method and case study, we take225Secondary students from3secondary schools in Ningbo as an example, and look deeply into their leisurelife during summer vocation. Then is the discussion about the real situation about students’ leisure life fromthe angles of leisure time, leisure activities, the conception of leisure and the leisure environment. Throughthe comparison between these students from different grades and different gender, we find that moststudents are lack of leisure time in summer vocation. Here comes the following problems,1. The content of leisure activities is too entertaining.2. Mass medie, especially the Internet, influences the leisure life too much.3. Lack of the leisure friends leads to leisure loneliness.4. The family, the school and the community should have been involved in the students’ leisure life.5. The conception about leisure life needs to been formed.By analyzing the factors about these problems and by combining the education environment in Ningbo,specific and operational suggestions are proposed from the angles of family, school, community andstudent themselves.
