A Intermarriage Circle Study Of The L Village In Northern Hcnan Province

Marital and family problems are closely related to our daily life, and have always being the hot topic in academic circles. This research bases on the social capital theory is mainly discuses about the problem of intermarriage circle which is related with family and marriage. The intermarriage circle is a form of social circle which is formed by the conclusion of the marital relationship. In china, especially in rural areas where the human relationship is very strong, the intermarriage circle is an important network of relationships which have an important impact on people’s production and living. This study about intermarriage circle was conducted in a selected village and used family as main unit of analysis; it selected six typical families to representing the families that own different social capital positions. Through the research of their intermarriage circle, the paper analyzed its similarities and differences on intermarriage circle of the families’ with different social capital condition and the causes of which formatted them. Based on the analysis, the paper explored the influence of social capital in the process of forming different intermarriage circle, and the formatted intermarriage circle’s influence on social capital of family and the whole village.Research mainly uses qualitative research methods, through the interview about the typical samples and other related villagers to collected research data. Compared to the previous studies about intermarriage circle, the mainly innovation of this research is the application of social capital theory perspective. Previous research about intermarriage circle mainly focused on used investigation data to support research orientation and view, generally lack of explore of system theory. The research used the perspective of social capital theory to analyze the intermarriage circle in L village. Although the analysis is superficial, it also gives a new perspective to understand intermarriage circle. In the study of intermarriage circle, it has important theoretical significance. The second part of this study put forward to the point of coordinate the balance of unity and the mobilization of social capital in the village through the analysis of the two trends about the intermarriage circle of the whole village, that is expansion and evolution. It has important practical significance to the dramatic changing rural social to mobilization and maintaining the social capital to developing.
