Class questioning technique, as an important part of classroom activities of English teaching for junior schools, inevitably produces some effects on the teaching results. In this case, the present paper, taking the preview studies on the relative topics as references, directed with the theories of Marxism, pedagogy and psychology, and based on the teaching practice as well, employs a preliminary study of the class questioning technique in junior school teaching, including its function, features, types, some problems and the countermeasures to solve them, etc, so as to offer some insight and implication for the further study and the future teaching practice.To be brief, this paper consists of five parts as follows:Part One is an introduction to briefly state the motivation and significance of the present study. Part Two serves as a literature review, which covers both domestic and foreign researches on this topic. The foreign researches can be condensed to three aspects of the topic:(1) the classifications of the questions;(2) the solutions to the some possible problems and some innovations;(3) teaching models of strengthening question-raising. On the other hand, the domestic studies focus more on the analysis of the specific examples of the class questioning in real teaching. Part Three, the theoretic base for this paper, makes a short list of the theories of Marxism, pedagogy and psychology for the study, and some other minor theories. Part Four, the exemplification of the practical teaching, is the main part of the study. In this part, based on the teaching practice, the issues like the function, significance, characteristics, types, means, and even the possible problems and their solutions of the class questioning techniques have been discussed in detail. The last part, Part Five is the conclusion of the whole paper, which draws naturally a conclusion of the study and show the hope to provide some guidance and reference for any further studies.
