As stated in Chinese Curriculum Standard of Full-time Compulsory Education(Experimental Manuscript),“teachers should take corresponding strategies to improvestudents’ Chinese accomplishments comprehensively considering students’ characteristicsas well as different teaching contents in different grades". The key point in improvingstudents’ Chinese accomplishments lies in the improvement of their reading and writingabilities. As a junior middle school teacher, the writer holds that the cultivation of students’writing ability should take their reading ability as its basis. Reading ability should becultivated first, which helps to improve their writing ability simultaneously, and then theirwriting ability on the other hand will help to improve their reading ability. All these willform the benign cycle between reading and writing. In this process, it is important to fulfillthe conversion between reading ability and writing ability. This paper makes a tentative tryto put forward some specific suggestions on how to improve junior middle school students’conversion ability between reading and writing, based on the writer’s analysis ofstudents’existing reading and writing abilities.For one thing, teachers should makeresearches on the problems exposed by junior middle school students, the special group, andthen take different measures according to students’ psychology and habits in reading andwriting in teaching process. For another, based on the present teaching situation, teachersshould try to find problems in textbook arrangement and appraisal system then do furtherexploration and thinking, finally find ways out.
