In the background of constructing harmonious society, constructing harmonious education and harmonious campus is an important way to enhance the education quality and to promote the education reform and development. Junior middle school education plays a crucial connecting role in the education system in our country. The education quality of the junior middle school in the Yi-Han mixed residential areas of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture is not only related to the healthy growth of the teenagers from deferent nationalities, but also related to the improvement of national quality. Class is the basic organization of school, also is an important environment for the students to learn how to adapt to the society and realize individual socialization. The management and operation state of the junior middle school class in the Yi-Han mixed residential areas of Liangshan directly impact on the express of the educational function of the classes, also on the general, healthy and harmonious development of the students. But there’re some problems to be solved in the construction and management of the junior middle school class in the Yi-Han mixed residential areas of Liangshan nowadays.This paper takes the mixed ethnic classes in No.5Junior Middle School of Xichang, which locates in the Yi-Han mixed residential areas of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, as the object of study. The questionnaire is designed to survey seven aspects which affect harmonious class construction:collective goals, organization, organizational discipline, collective activities, interpersonal relationship, evaluation mechanism and class culture. Through the investigation and analysis of the status quo of the harmonious class in No.5Junior Middle School of Xichang, some inharmonious factors are founded:the openness of the organizational standards and the diversity of organizations in class are obviously insufficient; class activities become a mere formality; Yi and Han nationality students are prone to contradict with each other; the harmonious of the grade one classes is comparatively weaker. These inharmonious factors directly affect the harmonious and orderly development of the class. And the causes of these factors are:some of the class teachers are still using the traditional way to manage the class; there is strong impact from the exam-oriented education; there’re national and cultural differences between Yi and Han nationality, est. Base on the conclusions above, this paper puts forward the strategies of constructing harmonious class as following:firstly, the schools should strengthen the construction of the class teacher team, and put efforts to improve the teacher’s working ability and working enthusiasm:secondly, to establish practical class goals in line with the educational development in Liangshan; thirdly, to enable students to become the constitutors and supervisors of class standards: fourthly, to carry out class activities combined with national tradition and innovation; fifthly, to construct harmonious interpersonal relationship between Yi and Han nationality students; sixthly, to establish a pluralistic student evaluation system; seventhly, to create harmonious sharing class culture.
