The Analysis Of The Rituals Of The Belief In The Double_sister God In The County Of Huguan Of Shanxi Province

The Belief in the Double-sister God is one of the most ancientbeliefs in the southeast of Shanxi Province. After more than onethousand years, a special, colorful culture type has been developed.The culture and its notions are interpreted in this paper of the Beliefin the Double-sister God hiding the rites by taking the rites of theBelief in the Double-sister God as study view.The paper is divided into three parts: introduction, main bodyand conclusion. The first part is an introduction, including the studysubject, the sources of information, the research ideas and methods,the purpose and significance of the study，the relevant literaturereview, and the interpretation about the local natural, ecologicalenvironment and culture. The second part as the main body arecomposed of three chapters, they are historical origins anddevelopments of the ritual of the Double-sister God, the analysis ofthe Rituals of the Belief in the Double-sister God which is from thelocal people’s life and the interpretation of the psychological basis cultivating this belief and the notions hiding the rituals. Abouthistorical origins and developments of the rituals of the Double-sisterGod is touched in chapter one. Origins of the rituals of theDouble-sister God is interpreted from the aspect of the historicalbackground in which the Belief in the Double-sister God came intobeing; combined with sacrificial position of the Double-sister Godwhich changed from civilian to official level, the forming process isgiven in this chapter. Chapter two states the statement of the ritualsto show the compositions of the rituals so as to grasp the religiousaims; also, concluding that the rituals is the heart part of the cultureof the Belief in the Double-sister God, besides, the diversity andsimplicity of the rituals is the wind vane of rise and fall of this belief.The psychological basis cultivating this belief and the notions hidingthe rituals is talked about in chapter three in order to find out thecauses that revive the Belief in the Double-sister God in recent years.The last part is the conclusion of the paper, which indicates that TheBelief in the Double-sister God is owing to various environmentfactors, and that the belief features its local typical characteristics.The revival of the Belief in the Double-sister God featured by variousrituals today is caused by psychology which is shaped by diverseenvironments, and the Belief in the Double-sister God is out therebecause the modern society needs it yet.
