With the influence of globalization, modernization and the acceleration of social transition, the family inter-generational relationships in our country are also experiencing change. Under the circumstance of traditional family moral order gradually collapse, but new family moral order and social security system has not been fully established, a series of family inter-generational problems gradually emerged. So, research on the family inter-generational relationship in our country has great significance in reality and theory. China is a multi-nationality country, research on the family inter-generational relationship should not confined to the Han areas and the urban-rural dual structure, but also should pay attention to every nation, every region, especially in ethnic minority areas, border areas. The research on family inter-generational relationships in the border areas inhabited by ethnic minorities is especially important,because it is directly related to the stability and harmony of the border areas inhabited by ethnic minorities.In this paper, a Wa village L, which located in the Sino-Myanmar border, is taken as fieldwork site, and a Wa family ritual, called Ru Bie Mei Gen, is taken as a breakthrough point. Through an analysis of the ritual process and ritual related daily, discuss the family inter-generational relationships embedded in the ritual which seemingly traditional in the ritual but factually not in daily life, to explain the family inter-generational relationships of Wa people are experiencing obviously changes. In the social and cultural background, and in the view of integrity,diversity and changes, it is considered that the family inter-generational relationship of Wa people in the ritual or the performance and motivation of the family inter-generational relationship changes are all has its own characteristics. The family inter-generational relationship in the ritual is a kind of feedback mode on the surface which appears as parents in the dominant position and father-son as the core, but in reality it was not the case, in fact parents have the same identity and status as the gods, children have religious emotion to their parents, like mortals to the gods; but with the entry of modern science and technology, the change of professional identity of sub generation, and the role of female, the family inter-generational relationships of L village are experiencing obviously changes:Inter-generational religious sentiment tends to decline, the dominant position of parents are also gradually being threatened, the role of mother-daughter is shaking the father-son as the core.Finally the paper summarizes briefly, only through in-depth investigation and study, can we understanding the inter-generational relations in ethnic and border areas, to prevent and solve the possible family problems, even national and border issues better in these areas. The family inter-generational relations in many ethnic regions and border areas are the same with L village which is undergoing changes. Under the circumstances of the changed traditional family inter-generational order and inter-generational concept, to establish a new order and new concept which is suitable for its social and cultural background is the problem which we need think and solve as soon as possible.
