A Study Of Advisors’ Group Building For Students’ Affairs At Navigation Major In Universities

The cadres in charge of managing maritime undergraduates are formed by a team of teachers who have been fighting for the career of higher maritime education for a long time and serve as the main force to apply ideological and political education as well as paramilitary management to maritime undergraduates. In colleges adopting paramilitary management to maritime undergraduates, this team is special although they share the characteristics with the counselors in general colleges. It is believed in this article that enhancing the development of the cadres team working for maritime undergraduates is of great significance to the cultivation of qulified students of international competence in shipping industry and scientific development of colleges in china.This article is composed of four chapters. In Chapter One, the background and significance of the subject are described, related researches at home and abroad are reviewed, and the concepts and theories involved in this subject are introduced. In Chapter Two, the working status of the cadres for martime undergraduates in China’s colleges is researched through the questionnaire from the perspective of reality with the main problems summarized and the causes analyzed, which makes available the research into team construction and enhances the pertinence of this study. In Chapter Three, a comparative analysis of typical construction of cadres team for students in foreign universities and domestic colleges, in general institutions and maritime colleges is carried out from open perspective, providing a useful reference for the construction of cadres team for maritime undergraduates in maritime colleges in China. In Chapter Four, suggestions concerning team structure optimization, and training, vocational development and incentive mechanism are raised combined with the reality of Chinese higher maritime education and the successful practices of domestic and foreign universities.Based on the previous studies, this article is focusing on the combination of the team construction of cadres for students and paramilitary management so as to cultivate competent cadres of student work who can live up to the requirements of the new era for the cause of Higher Maritime education.
