This study has analyzed the change of rural ethics and rising up of individuals in a Chinese village in J zhuang village, Hebei province. The traditional rural village is the basic rural community for the villager. The consanguinity and geopolitical relationship are the main factors for the rural community. The Closeness and motionless are two characteristics for the rural community which led to the peasants’ conservative, the restriction of their spiritual world and lack the reform power. The rural ethics which is based on Confuncianism Culture didn’t change for several thousand years. Moreover the individuals lived in the ancestors’ shadow and clan. They represent the network that they lived in and didn’t own the options due to the fact that rural ethics is the foundation of the differential mode of association. The ideology was dominated by the country. In the mid-twentieth century the individuals were embeded in the collectivization after they were divored from the family and ancestors’ shadow. Our country tried to weaken the superiority of Confuncianism Culture but it produced very little effect. Although women were equal with men, the clan ethics still guided the individuals’ behaviour and constructed existential meaning. Individuals were bound by the People’s Commune and Danwei. Everyone had an standardized life. A lack of population floating and reconstructing the ethics caused that the traditional ethics still maintain the relationship. With the reform of the residence registration policy in cities and towns the individuals could go everywhere since Reform and Opening up. Chinese society has step into the individualization. The individuals aren’t under the power of the dead hand of the past. They can follow their heart and choose their life. With these processes the individuals can reconstruct traditional ethics. So the rural ethics has been changed with the rising up of individuals.
