The law of conservation of mass is related to the first of the chemical laws in junior middle school. It runs through the whole process of chemistry learning in junior high school. It is a very important element. Then this part has been placed in a very important position in early stage of chemistry teaching. The teaching methods involves respectively experimenting, experimental researching and others. But the author found some problems in teaching this section. The teachers are confused and have no clear concepts of teaching and teaching methods.Thus, the author puts forward the research topic-Teaching problems of the law of conservation of mass. The author found that the previous studies lack a clear framework, the specific goals and just from a monotonous ponit of veiw. While the author thinks that the study should be based on the aspects including teaching background (eg. curriculum standard, subject analysis, textbook analysis) an Design Research (the design of teaching goal, teaching path, specific teaching procedures and teaching evaluation, teaching strategy and the choice of media),which is hopefully to be a breakthrough in the teaching of conservation of mass.and develop the initial formation of teaching paradigm of core concepts.The study has been carried out in the following five parts:The first part is the preface. It ansers "why", that is, it explains elaborates the research basis:1, the law of conservation of mass teaching has important value (including the subject’s value,students’value,social application value);2, There are problems in the teaching of law of conservation of mass;3teachers are confused during teaching.4At the same time, this part also elaborates research significance:1, the teaching of law of conservation of mass is improved;2, the teaching paradigm of core concepts are initially formed.The second part is the present teaching situation analysis of the law of conservation of mass from three aspects:1、the teaching orientation;2、functions and values;3、the cultivation of additional ablities. This part paves the way for the latter study of later sections.The third part covers the existing research and the framework. It is about the literature review of the relevant domestic studies as well as the deficiencies of the studies.The fourth part is the analysis of teaching background.The author implements study from three aspects of curriculum standard、subject analysis、textbook analysis. The fifth part is the research on teaching design. Based on the above research the part carries out the corresponding teaching design, including the design of teaching goal, teaching path, specific teaching designs, teaching evaluation teaching strategy and the choice of media.The sixth part is the conclusion.
