Research On Spirit Demand For The Elderly In Changchun City

When people are old, due to the retirement, the change of family and socialnetwork, the living environment will change greatly. These changes make old peoplehave some special problems in the basic survival, health, emotion, communication andentertainment. These problems if not properly handling, would be the old in lonely lifestate, or even lead to psychological barrier, the coming of psychological disease, so theold people’s spiritual needs to focus on. This study based on the project research dataof "Elderly living conditions and pension public service needs in China "made bypopulation, resource and environmental research institute of Jilin university inDecember of2010,select Changchun city as the investigation object, use the statisticalmethods of descriptive analysis multiple response analysis from health needsdependent requirements communication needs, respect needs, personal valuerealization needs these five aspects to do the related research.This paper mainly divided into five parts: the first part is the introduction,describes the research background, research significance, date sources,the research ofthe old people’s spiritual demand theory, conditions, contents and countermeasures.The aim is to make theoretical foil for later discusses, provide a theoretical basis forthe study of the spiritual needs of older persons of Changchun city. The second partanalyses the spiritual demand situation of old people from five aspects of health needssituation, dependent requirements situation, communication needs situation, respectneeds situation, personal value realization needs situation,. The third part analyses theexisting problems of the elderly spiritual needs and its consequences.The fourth part analyzes the reasons why spiritual needs of the elderly are notguaranteed, the objectives is to provide the basis for seeking the solution.. The fifthpart gives some suggestions on the protection of the elderly spiritual needs from five aspects of the old, children, government, community and legal.
