Group Work Interference To Meet The Spiritual Needs Of The Elderly In Urban Cities

With the constant improvement of the social security system, the satisfaction of the elderly spiritual demand has become an important content and symbol of health aging. However, the elderly’s spiritual needs and satisfaction are still relatively deficient no matter in theory or in reality, what is the difficulty to meet spiritual demand? How to solve the problem in reality?In the article, the author will firstly use the method of literature analysis to analyze why the elderly spiritual demand is difficult to meet. Research found that compared with corresponding supply system which has economic support, life care and other material demand, the elderly spiritual demand does not have the support system, no matter family or society, which cannot provide continuous spiritual support. As a result, the spiritual life of the elderly is empty, the quality of life isn’t high, the sense of happiness is not strong.On the basis of the research conclusion, the author will design and implement the project of specific social work intervention to discuss how to set up community support model to meet the elderly spiritual demand through taking advantage of the experience of developed areas, introducing professional concept and method of social work into the elderly spiritual demand to meet the community work, using the research methods of on-the-spot interview to understand the spiritual demand of the urban elderly and the problems, and using the theory of social support and energizing theory.The author will adopt the methods of social work intervention for group work in the research. The author will select Lanzhou M community as the research base of the implementation and the intervention. On the basis of above research, the author will design and carry out targeted activities and find that establishing social support system within the group can satisfy the spiritual needs of the elderly in a certain extent and improve the life quality of the elderly, through recording group work in the initial, middle and late stages.The conclusion of the social work intervention and its research is:1.due to lack of community and family support system, the elderly spiritual needs cannot be satisfied.2.Leading in the different method of social work and establish the supporting the network of elderly spiritual life in the social area can improve the situation of lack of spiritual life, and the life of elderly group in a certain extent.3.This research mainly discusses the affection of social work group in satisfying the spiritual life of elderly group, it also predict that the combined multiple social work method will take a better effect, this point will be the coming aims of the research.
