Teachers’professional identity is the understanding and views of the social status, career aspirations, career emotions and other aspects of the teaching profession。It gradually formed from the process of education and teaching by individuals or groups of teachers.It is the cognition and thinking of teachers on these questions:"Who am I" and " What kind of teacher should I become "and" How can I become a teacher like that". The situation of professional identity will affect the professional development of teachers and the enthusiasm of teaching. The beginning teacher is in the first few years of their whole career development. It is a critical period in the entire development process of the teaching career, this period has an important impact on their future development. Therefore, the professional identity is even more important for beginning teachers.In order to evaluate the situation of beginning teachers’professional identity, on the basis of previous research, the author designed the professional identity Questionnaire, Through the investigation and interview of some primary school teachers,The survey results show that:There is no significant difference between beginning teachers and non-beginning teachers of their total score,but the beginning teachers’score of social status and career aspirations are significantly higher than the non-beginning teachers’, their self-evaluation score is significantly lower than the non-beginning teachers’. Teachers’professional identity have significant differences in gender, urban and rural, teaching subject, whether primary education graduate, and the differences mainly performance in the aspects of career expectations, occupational status and self-evaluation.Based on questionnaire and interview results, we analyzed the influence factors of beginning teacher’professional identity from the three aspects of society, schools, individuals, and put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to improve beginning teachers’professional identity. Such as:Creating a good social atmosphere of respecting teachers, enhancing teachers’satisfaction degrees on their salaries, strictly holding the pass of the motivation of entering teaching profession, establishing effective teacher professional community and establishing a positive professional values.
