A Study Of The Contemporary Exchange Between Chinese And Russian Higher Education

China and Russia have been communicating with each other in the political, economic and cultural fields since ancient times. But for a variety of reasons, there are few researches into education exchange between these two countries. This situation does not correspond with the current healthy relationship between them. Admittedly, the contemporary higher education exchange between China and Russia is an important part of China’s foreign education exchange. Therefore, the research into contemporary higher education exchange between China and Russia has a wider significance for bettering the understanding of education exchange between them and promoting education reform and long-term development. Additionally, it will exert considerable influence on their relationship. Thus this thesis chose to study the contemporary higher education between China and Russia.This thesis looks into the history of contemporary higher education exchange between China and Russia according to the principle of historical materialism. It then expounds its historical background and the course of development. Furthermore, it discusses profound changes of contemporary higher education exchange between China and Russia during different phases with the complex international situation. At last, it summaries the characteristics of frequent, colorful and diversified development.When exploring contemporary higher education exchange between China and Russia, it is founded that there exist some problems in education exchange, such as poor language training for students studying abroad, limitations on areas, inadequate cooperation between colleges, and security of studying abroad. This article tries to absorb the lessons of education exchange between China and Russia to provide experience and enlightenment for the long-term development of education exchange between China and Russia.
