The Function Of Rural Half-flow Families

With the deepening of China’s reform and opening-up, contemporary China is experiencing a great historical change and development of the times. Due to the rapid development of modernization and industrialization, the demand for labors is growing year after year which makes a large number of rural labors shift to cities. The flow of peasants inevitably caused the separation of family members in space. Many families choose the half-flow style with the remaining wives. The structure and the function of rural families which had been stalbe has been impaired. This thesis mainly does research in the incomplete family structure and the unbalanced functions.To be specific, the thesis consists of four parts:Part1:introduction. This chapter invovles in the origin and the significant of the research, then clear up and appraisal the documents and materials on hands. Put forward basic trains of thought support terms and introduce the research object and methods. Finally, probe into the innovation and defects of the thesis.Part2:this part analyses the reasons of the formation of half-flow families, including institutional factors, traditional gender division and gender concepts, rational decesions on the maximization of family benefits. The core member of the family goes out to work, then family structure has become incomplete, therefore family function has weakened and lost balance.Part3:this chapater introduces the status of the inbalance of family functions through abundant interview cases. Family functions:caring for parents; ecomomy and production; breeding and education; psychological and emotional meet; safty. Both of them have been impaired. Then explain the consequences of the impairment of family functions and the significance of function compensation.Part4:Based on social ecology systematic theory, this part discusses the specific methods of function compensation at the micro, mezzo and macro aspects. Promote its benign operation and coordinated development. Microsystem relies heavily on the Self-adaptation of remaining members. In Mezzo System, the support comes from family members and social net-work. In Macro System, institutional and policy environmet, the system of transfer payments and primary-level organization supply energy and nutrition to half-flow families.
