| In our rural areas, with the development of social industrialization and urbanization, young adult labor force shifts towards city step by step. Gradually, for some peasants, working out of hometown has been a primary way to make rich. Among them, 70% families choose half-flow style with remaining wives. That is to say, when male labor force enters into city, he lefts his parents, wife and children hometown. So, in many migrant areas, remaining families always have women, children and old people. Working out of hometown results in the absence of the family member, and the lost of the core role destroy the wholeness of family structure badly. Therefore, family system's social functions, including production, nurture, support, emotional satisfaction, protection, and so on, can't work properly, but family function is an important index to judge the operational state of family system. Thispaper chooses a downtown------FC Town, Xuzhou, as a model to make socialinvestigation, where has comparatively assembling remaining families. According to this town's population traits, the paper looks upon families with remaining wives as the study object, and collects lively information reflecting the living situation for this kind of family by empirical methods, for example, deep interview, group discussion, participant observation, document study and so on. Then, with Structure Functionalism, Conflict Theory and so on, it analyzes the impairment state from structure to function synthetically. Finally, after knowing about the interaction state among the remaining family and between the family and its external environment, the paper sees family as an open system, and places it in the whole society based on the opinion of System Ecological Theory. In order to make remaining family and its existence condition fill up sufficiently, the paper explores how to compensate theimpairment of family function by three subsystems------ person subsystem,interpersonal relationship subsystem and society subsystem. |
