With the historical development process of unified multi-ethnic country in China,it’s a normal existence of interaction and harmonious symbiosis except conflicts andblending between different national beliefs. The harmonious symbiosis of differentnationals has a close relationship with the development of social politics, economy andculture in different dynasties or periods. In the process of interaction, the conflicts andblending are undeniably the major interaction model and state with the other culture. Inthe meantime, the co-existence, namely the harmonious symbiosis also exists. Differentnational beliefs compose a new pluralistic symbiosis, which has disseminated andproves to be a natural state of one nationality. The co-existence of different religiousbeliefs is also a specific presentation of the Pattern of Diversity in Unity of the ChineseNation from the perspective of national beliefs. Based on the historical literature and thefield work, used the harmonious symbiosis co-existence of Bon-pon, Tibetan Buddhistand Naxi beliefs as an example to discuss different national beliefs of being in theharmonious coexistence state in each other between absorption and fled, study theexistence of the state for national unity, stability and the establishment of harmonioussociety deep cognition. Five chapters are involved in it.The first part of this article is Introduction. It mainly briefly lays out somethingrelated with the theme of this paper. They are the significance, summary of previousmaterials, the category, the main contents and methods of research. Chapter I. Theintroduction of the field work places in Naxi Area. It is mainly background information,such as the nature, the geography, the economy, the language, the people, other means,the resources of this group and the folk culture of Naxi, and those of Nanxi Village andRuke Village. Chapter II. Beliefs of the Tibetan people spreading to areas of Naxi, Thispart is to be divided into the following apartments: First, Bon in Naxi areas ofcommunication and integration, overview of Bon-Pon and spreading of Naxi and fusionwith Bon. Second, the spread of Tibetan Buddhism to the region of Naxi and symbiosis,overview of Tibetan Buddhism and dissemination of Tibetan Buddhism to the region ofNaxi and symbiosis. Chapter III. Field investigation of Naxi ethnic beliefs, This part isto be divided into the following apartments: Naxi Dongba, Tibetan Buddhism belief andmulti-faith in Naxi Village, the original belief and the Genesis beliefs in Ruke Village,adding of Marie Martha People’s Beliefs and the funeral ceremony of Naxi ethnicbeliefs and perception. Chapter IV. National belief in harmony, First, the escape andcling: national belief adjustment and harmonious coexistence; Second, the Centre and the surrounding national belief in belief propagation, interaction and ethnic formation ofcomplexes; Third, symbiotic harmony: exploration and thinking on national beliefs andmulti-symbiosis. The last part of this article is Conclusion.To sum up, this article expounds the development of the national belief of Naxifrom the historical and current perspectives. Different national beliefs of the Bon-Pon,Tibetan Buddhism and Dongbaism were disseminated from the centre to thesurrounding, the Nanxi village and the Ruke village, with space-time transformations,and formed Naxi people’s national belief by interaction. Its development is like agrowing-up baby. Nowadays, Naxi People’s belief is a multi-symbiosis, which is aspecific reflection of national belief in the Pattern of Diversity in Unity of the ChineseNation. It’s a good example of harmonious coexistence of symbiosis with the historicaldevelopment process of unified multi-ethnic country, China. The Interactivedevelopment of national belief has a close relationship with social-political, economicand cultural factors in different historic periods. It’s a normalcy of pluralisticdevelopment of heterogeneous national beliefs remained coexistence and commonprosperity, mutual benefit and reciprocity in harmony. The inheritance and developmentof cultural diversity is as essential to humans as biodiversity and balance. To seekcommon ground while reserving differences, the consensus will be easily and finallyreached. The inheritance and creation of the cultural diversity has already been and willcontinue to be the traditional foundation and intelligent sources of human society todevelop and survive. It’s said that the harmony promotes co-existence and co-prosperityand whereas differences foster mutual complementation and mutual support. As onecore culture, the national belief, whose diversity is the proper meaning of culturaldiversity and which is also an important component of human civilizations, should bereceived much more attention and be worth studying.
