Performance criteria of excellence in education, universal management standards,describe the essential quality of an excellent school. Standards of the U.S. NationalQuality Award Performance Excellence Awards for its authority, impartiality,voluntary and other characteristics of the growing attention and welcome by the school.The award is not only a quality award, but also as a way of promotingself-development of the school quality standards have been applied to the schoolself-evaluation. Its criteria cover a comprehensive theoretical system, in-depthrequirements, schools may be participating in the process of reference indicators tocheck the implementation of the plan, and improve educational services, theestablishment of quality system, so as to improve and enhance school performance andmanagement the level of purpose.National quality standards of education in the United States, its unique framework,the index system and evaluation criteria, it is to promote independent colleges anduniversities to improve school performance and powerful tool to improve themanagement level, we can learn from. Resolve the United States2009-2010BaldrigeNational Quality Standards in Education’s core values, to solve the various problemsand contradictions in China’s Higher Education Quality Management to improve themanagement level of quality of higher education in China has great theoretical andpractical significance. This article first defines the concepts and theoretical basis of theU.S. National Quality Award, a careful analysis of the core values and the mainfeatures of the educational performance excellence, the Baldrige National QualityStandards in Education in American higher education management from theperspective of learn comprehensive, in-depth and systematic study, the U.S. MalcolmBaldrige national Quality Award to the first higher education institutions in theUniversity of Wisconsin-Stout campus as an example application of the educationindustry standards of the American Society for Quality Award in higher education inthe United States case study, and finally the status quo of China’s higher educationquality management and the challenges facing the analysis put forward innovative ideas to establish the quality of our national education standards. Through the aboveanalysis and research to come to the revelation of the Baldrige National QualityStandards in Education on Higher Education.
