Analysis And Researches Of Situations On Swimming Safety And Security In Natatoriums And Swimming Pools In Taiyuan

Swimming is a sport which human move their bodies in water. People survive by swimming in kinds of situations in nature. Swimming is good for one’s health both in body and mind. However, every coin has its two sides. The accidents which happened during swimming is unavoidable. The security problems we had in swimming is about the swimming pool, the swimmer, the couch and the lifesaver. As all the people we mentioned above are cautious, it would be possible to prevent or reduce the accidents. In this thesis, we use multiple ways such as Literature data method, questionnaires, Expert interviews and Mathematical statistics method. By investigating the situations now in natatorium in Taiyuan and researching the security problems in natatorium, this thesis provides a series of constructive advice on running facilities, swimming teaching and services for the natatoriums in Taiyuan.The research results are:1. In recent5years, the total number of accidents occurred in natatoriums in Taiyuan is in a downward trend.2. Some features of the swimming security accidents:the subject of the accidents is usually individuals. The swimmers are vigorous and have no ideas about what will happen after their dangerous behavior.3. The subjective reasons of the accidents:A. the swimmers are not well prepared for swimming both in body and mind, and are lack of safety awareness. B. The lifesavers in charge is off duty. C. There are too many beginners in one class in natatoriums. D. The lifesaver is in the role of couch. And the guard is in the role of lifesaver.4. The objective reasons of the accidents:A. the natatoriums lack safety equipments. Or the equipments don’t work. B. Sanitation in the natatoriums is unqualified. C.fire-fighting equipments are needed.5. The ways the natatoriums dealing with security accidents:by insurance, by achieving an agreement, by law, by punishing the direct responsible man, by stopping running the natatoriums which are involved in accidents.Suggestions:A. teaching the swimmers to protect themselves while swimming. B. Make more investment on security equipments. C. Training the couches and lifesavers so as to make them more professional. D. Make laws to supervise the natatoriums. E. make sure the insurance works. F. Investing on developing early warning system to prevent swimming security accidents.
