Consumption in the development of human society has a very important position and role, it is thehuman survival, the premise and conditions of development. At the beginning of twentieth Century, alongwith the science and technology the development of productivity, western countries headed by the UnitedStates entered consumptive society; consumerism has rapidly become the mainstream values. With thedevelopment of economic globalization, consumerism has spread around the world, to our country cityresidents; especially young students’ consumption concept had a widespread and profound influence.College Students’ consumption appeared new type, personalized, diversity of characteristics, consumptionconcept of overall health, is reasonable, but the impact of consumerism, also appeared inevitable consumermisunderstanding, such as high consumption, comparison of consumption and unreasonable consumptionstructure and the tendency of consumerism. These consume styles and conceptions and the situation of ourcountry and currently advocated by the socialist core value system is not consistent, therefore, the problemof College Students’ consumption must give height to take seriously, this paper based on the influence ofconsumerism society background, with the perspective of the ideological and moral education, throughliterature and qualitative analysis, on the present consumption and consumption of college students on theproblem of College Students’ consumption, objective analysis of the problems of the original cause offormation, and puts forth the measures of College Students’ consumption education.This article altogether is divided four parts: the first part discusses the rise of consumerism and itsspread in China, the development of current college students, revealing the consumption environment. Thesecond part through literature and interviews reveal the students consumption situation, summary andanalysis of College Students’ consumption problems, and aimed at the effect of college studentconsumption problem objective insight into underlying causes. The third part, on the college students’tendency of consumerism brings challenges presented consumption education strategy.
