With the development of glabal economic intergration, multiculturalism is headingfor a collision and a mixing. There are many in common between People’s EducationPress in China compulsory education curriculum standard textbook (referred to as PEP"Language") and Treasures which published by the three major U.S. publishingcompany of the McGraw-Hill Companies division of Macmillan.Both of them representthe mainstream trend of their mother-tongue teaching materials.This thesis is divided into four chapters. It not only expounded the causes andbackground of this thesis, but also compared and analyzed the Sino-US native languagecurriculum standards.So it better to present their own characteristics of the PEP"Language" and Treasures. Based on quantitative and qualitative analysis, it research onthe number of the stylistic contents as well as cultural values. Finally, it analysis theadvantages and disadvantages of Treasures and PEP "Language" and pointed out that itwill help us to reform and construction of our mother tongue teaching materials in somedegree.
