In new time,it has put forward higher request for teachers qualityand construction in National medium and long-term educationalreform and development program (2010-2020).It advocates toimprove teachers quality through diversified ways.Higher requirementfor teachers quality can not be met without a high-quality,professionalteacher educators team.It is imperative to build the professionalstandards of teacher educators to promote their professionaldevelopment.This paper,taking the questionnaire survey, literature research,comparison,analysis and so on the various ways,explores the subject ofthe teacher educators professional standards.This thesis has thefollowing parts:The introduction mainly includes the researchbackgroud,purpose and meaning,concept definition,literaturereview,research ideas and methods and the focus and difficulties.The first chapter analyses the present situation of teachereducators professional development,there are some problems: theprofessional advantage is not prominent,professional role is notclear,lack of professional development supports and professionaldevelopment direction.So we propose to develop professionalstandards for teacher educators to improve their professionaldevelopment.Then we discuss the necessity and feasibility to build theprofessional standards for teacher educators.The second chapter combed the research on teachereducators,divided into teacher educators identity,professnionalknowledge and abilities,the research on novice teacher educators andprofessional development approach.To build the professional standardsis based on these theories. The third chapter takes the professional standards in theNetherlands and the United States as examples,including thedevelopment procedures,main contents,implementationprocedures,implementation results,characteristics analysis and theinspirations to us.The contents of this part are reference to buildprofessional standards for teacher educators.The fourth chapter studies on the establishment of teachereducators professional standards.This part regresses native to think,andputs forward the concepts and principles based on the previous studiesand the reality of our country.Then we try to build our professionalstandards of teacher educators,taking the teaching and research staffas target groups.
