Case Intervention Study On Hindrance Of Remarriage Of Widowed Elderly In Rural Areas

In recent years,the aging of China’s population has accelerated.Until now,the elderly population over 60 years old in China has reached 260 million.The accelerated growth of population aging has led to a sharp increase in the number of widowed elderly people,which has led to a series of widowed problems.After the death of a spouse,the elderly do not receive timely attention from their children and the society,which causes problems in many aspects such as physical,psychological and social communication.The old man’s emotional needs were not met in time,and the loneliness of the elderly increases,which affects the quality of life in their later years.In view of this,the old woman began to consider remarriage,hoping to meet her physical,psychological and social needs and live a happy old age through remarriage.However,the remarriage of the elderly is not plain sailing.The remarriage is affected by the elderly’s own character and concept,family children,social opinion,social interests and the failure cases of remarriage,etc.In the long run,it forms the problem of remarriage obstruction.This paper takes the rural widowed elderly as the research object,selects the typical service object in S village as the research case,and devotes itself to the case intervention research on the problem of remarriage obstruction.With the methods of participatory observation and semi-structured interview,psychosocial therapy theory and rational emotional therapy were used to conduct case intervention.One is to solve the problem of the client’s personal concept,trying to change the client’s unreasonable beliefs about remarriage and the outside world,so as to help establish reasonable beliefs and establish a correct view of remarriage;The second is to promote the communication between the two parties through talking with the client’s family,so as to draw the distance between the two parties and obtain the support and understanding of the family for the elderly’s remarriage.Third,in view of the problem of interpersonal communication of the client,through actively tapping the client’s own potential,the establishment of peer group support system,relying on rural community resources to help the client rebuild social support network,expand the scope of interpersonal communication,so as to help the elderly smooth remarriage.Remarriage is not the exclusive rights of young people,the old man to remarry is normal physiological and psychological needs,the rights of the widowed elderly people to remarry is legally protected,and as a result,we want to work under the guidance of professional power in society,the formation of the informal groups such as society,family,peers,friends and neighbors offered a support force,which can promote the elderly remarried,reduce the elderly loneliness,meet the demand of the old man’s spirit and help the elderly live a happy life in old age.
