The aging of population is becoming more and more serious,and the widowed elderly are also increasing.According to the latest statistics,there are 53 million580 thousand widowed elders in China.It is a large social group.At present,our society has paid attention to the problem of elderly support,but there is little practical support for the re-socialization of the widowed old people,especially in the remarriage of the widowed elder.The widowed elder themselves,bound by the traditional concept are confronted with many problems in life and even in survival.They lack the ability to solve the problem of remarriage,so they are often in a state of loneliness and even fall into the plight of depression and autism.In the family,children are usually either fiercely against or interfere too much to the remarriage of the widowed elder,causing distress to the widowed elderly.Meanwhile,society does not show enough concern and support for remarried widowed elderly and the systematic rescue system is also not perfect.If the problem of remarriage of widowed elderly can not be solved effectively and in time,the widowed old will face a remarriage dilemma.The study aims to conduct a case research by intervening into the life of a widowed old man to help the client gradually adapt to the widow life and have the intention for a second marriage,aiming to eliminate the adverse effects of the widowhood through re-marriage.The research uses cognitive theory,ecology system theory and society supporting theory,involving face to face talking and activity method.In this case,the widowed client was brought to the city by his eldest son but the new living environment and the lack of support from friend s and society mad e him a bit depressed and dislike the new environment,so he is confront ed with remarriage dilemma.By changing the irrational concept of the case client and developing his social resources,this study use s the material and human resources of the community to help the participants to establish social networks in the new environment,and get the support of the peers and friends,and encourage the family members involved in the intervention to give them more understanding and spiritual comfort so as to help the client smoothly achieve the goal of entering marriage again.It is found that the development and utilization of the family resources and the social resources around the clients can effectively relieve their discomfort and improve their ideas and behavior,and help to achieve the goal of intervention.
