Dalton Plan is a teaching organization form which was born in amixed middle school in1920at Dalton town Massachusetts，its founder isHelen Parkhurst（1887～1973）．It is in the earliest spread of our country，dates back the "education magazine" was published in1921atShanghai， the "Europe and the United States education thoughts"column in Vol.13of8with Dalton in its title introduced the Daltonexperiment firstly．Meanwhile，this magazine published "the special issueof Dalton" in November of1922and many articles have discussed it．Wecan say，people began to contact and understanding of the Daltonexperiment just from these articles．Dalton experiment system experienced a rapid growth and quicklyreached a climax in the development of our country，but it lasted notvery long，and decline gradually in the1930s．This thesis mainly using themethod of historical research，and on a large amount of historical databased on the first-hand， according to the time sequence of thedevelopment of the research of Dalton． Through the time pointsintercepted，the Dalton system in the development of our country isdivided into three stage：was introduced into and the rising period(1921～1922)，vigorous development period (1923～1924)，put a filledand failure period (1925～1936)．Through the study，trying to clarify thedevelopment situation of Dalton as a whole in our country．This essay is divided into five parts：the first part of this paperoutlining a introduction to the subject and the research content andsignificance，and the related concept definition and research the ideasand methods．The second to the fourth part，detailed introduces threestages of Dalton experiment in our country，mainly from two aspects ofthe background reasons and the specific performance in-depth analysis，finally complementary with each period of the typical case toillustrate．The last part of this article analysis the Dalton`s historical valuein our country， evaluation the advantages and limitations in theprogress of this experiment，based on this，suggest some enlightenmentto the reform of china`s education．...
