Mu jibo(1895-1978)was a famous modern Chinese educator and scholar,especially one of the founders of Chinese language education in the 1920 s.In his career,he devoted most of his time to the forefront of Chinese teaching in the middle school,accumulated a wealth of teaching experience,and formed remarkable teaching results,for the development of China's early education made a lot of contributions,in the history of Chinese education is irreplaceable.This paper focuses on the study of Mu jibo's thoughts on Chinese education.From the perspective of Dalton system experiment,this paper makes an in-depth discussion on Mu jibo's achievements in Chinese education theory and teaching practice,and analyzes Mu jibo's unique thoughts on Chinese curriculum and teaching.This paper puts Mu jibo's thought of Chinese education in the background of The Times,reflects on its reference significance and realistic limitations in the then environment,and provides a theoretical basis for the current Chinese teaching and new curriculum reform.This study is mainly composed of the following five parts:The first part is the introduction,which explains the research origin,research significance,research status and research methods.The second part is an overview of the experiments of Mu jibo and Dalton system.From Mu jibo's life,Mu jibo's thoughts and achievements of Chinese education,the introduction of Dalton system,the connotation and characteristics of Dalton system and how Mu jibo practiced Dalton system were expounded.The third part expounds Mu jibo's Chinese curriculum thought in Dalton system experiment from three aspects of Mu jibo's Chinese education goal view,Chinese curriculum setting view and Chinese curriculum teaching material view.This paper expounds the humanism,instrumentality and nationality of Mu jibo's view of the purpose of Chinese education.This paper expounds Mu jibo's views of curriculum setting,such as the white division of teaching,the adoption of credit system and the emphasis on intensive reading.This paper expounds the concept of the textbook of Chinese curriculum,which is composed of text and white text,unit style and systematic and comprehensive content.The fourth part expounds Mu jibo's Chinese teaching thought in Dalton's experiment.It is expounded from three aspects: guiding students to study independently,paying attention to heuristic system teaching and developing cooperative inquiry mode.The fifth part expounds the thinking of Mu jibo's Chinese education thought under the Dalton system experiment,makes a comprehensive and objective analysis of the historical value and limitation of the Dalton system experiment,and summarizes the enlightenment of Mu jibo's Chinese education thought to the Chinese curriculum reform.
