Reading is an important part of language learning in the primary school. Good reading skills play a vital role in students’ lives. In this study, we investigated and analyze the primary school students’ language learning, reading ability, the amount of literacy, grasp of the pronunciation and shaped. And explore the factors that influence the students’reading ability.In this study, we selected a total of269fourth grade students of a full-time elementary school inTianjin. Considering the amount of literacy, phonological awareness, orthographic processing has conducted a total of seven subtests. Adopt organizations measured. And combined with the survey method, interview method to collect the level of students’language learning and data of the reading ability level. Using SPSS11.5statistical software to analyze the overall language proficiency in reading, literacy and sound shaped correlation analysis. And examine the shape of the sound of different reading ability of students, the amount of literacy, language proficiency differences. Experimental results show that:1. Female language learning, reading comprehension, the syllable judgment, shaped the understanding and level of investigation with the radical were significantly better than boys.2. Phonological awareness, orthographic processing level and student level of literacy, reading comprehension related to the level.3. Students who have a low level of pronunciation understanding, the level of shaped and reading comprehension level have a significant correlation, while students who have a higher level of understanding in this regard was not significantly associated.4. For students of different reading levels, gender is also an influencing factors. Syllable judgment and shaped the ability to understand reading comprehension difficulties of boys than girls. In all the students that do well in reading comprehension, girls are more prominent in the cognitive part of the orthographic processing.5. Literacy, phonological awareness and shaped understanding of primary school students can predict the reading comprehension ability. Finally, according to the results of this study, the primary language reading instruction recommendations.
