The Research And Survey Of The Persent Situation About Junior Middle Schools Students’ Being Digital Capability

In the21st century, with the information technology infrastructure completed gradually, the virtual world that build by human using IT has become an important survial environment. So the "being digital"approach has melt into the daily life. Based on this, being digital capacity has become basic viability that everyone should master.In the paper, we investigated and researched the being digital capability, dissect the definition and structure of being digital capability, pointed to the two connotations: the basic viability of digital citizens, comprehensive ability. And it analyzed the structure of five gradations, namely "consciousness, knowledge, technology, behavior, culture". The conscious level includes being digital consciousness and digital citizenship. The knowledge level includes the application knowledge of IT, the knowledge of information technical science, and the knowledge of digital ethics. The technology level includes IT tools operation and Technological innovation capability. The behavior level includes four behaviour competences, that are E-learning, digital communication, digital business, digital entertainment. At the last, the cultural level includes having digital citizenship behavior patterns, having digital citizen accoplishment, having the leadership ability of digital era.Based on the definition and structure of being digital capability, this paper constructed a being digital capability Assesing index system. And than, it sought experts advice by using Delphi expert consultation, to establish a complete being digital evaluation index system. According to this index system and the cognition characteristic of junior middle school students, can detailed index items to questions that junior middle school students can understand, then make questionnaire.300Jinhua, Nangchang, Fuzhou, Chongren junior high school students were enrolled in my study by this questionaire, and there were261valid questionnaires.The survey finds that, firstly, consider from the level of consciousness, junior high school students are familiar with the information technology applied in daily life, but they are less senstive to new digital tools. Most of the junior middle school students can realize the importance of IT and realize the two-side of being digital, but only about half students are confident about the information technology used to support lifelong learning, cooperative learning, problem solving, improving efficiency. Secondly, consider from the level of knowledge, junior high school students can’t master information technology system properly, and don’t know much about the features and development of digital society, else get to know the digital ethics not in detail. Thirdly, consider from the level of technology, junior high school students basicly can operate the information tools in daily, use information techology to solve problem, and they are fluent with information technology, but the overall level is a medium position. Fourthly, consider from the level of behavior, junior high school students are inappropriate about E-learning, and60%of the students don’t have digital comunication ability,80%of the students don’t have digital business ability even,but they basicly have the ability of digital entertainment, also they are affected easily by the open digital environment. Fifthly, consider from the level of culture, junior high school students are unwilling to accept digital citizenship behavior patterns, and they lack of legal qualities in digital world, but have Moral rule and safety quality. Almost50%of the students have collaboration and cooperation literacy in digital world, but they are unwilling to share resources. They don’t have the leadership ability of digital world.After analysis, this paper proposes two ways to teach junior high school students to have more being digital capability. First, the direct way, that reconstruction of primary and secondary school IT courses based being digital capability. Second,the penetrative way, namely, to promote the integration of IT with curriculum.
