Abstract/Summary:
To carry out distance education in rural areas, how to make resource construction services for rural farmers to develop and how to make kinds of rural distance education and teaching resources do effective integration and apply to rural are crucial theoretical and practical problems. Currently, making "knowledge-flow, value-stream" as the core of knowledge chain management has become a new trend of distance education resource construction and knowledge management. In order to meet farmers demand, this paper makes knowledge chain management as a guiding principle into agricultural information resource integration. Using model building and empirical research method, it analyzes aspects of rural distance education resources, that include acquisition, classification, integration, knowledge-based processing and constrcution elements of knowledge chain, which establishe a systematic knowledge base for rural distance education, solve problems that distance education resources are poor, single, lack of connection among coursewares and unsystematic between knowledge and information, promote rural distance education upgrading from information services to knowledge-based services and from a single systematic knowledge education to knowledge chain services, achieve sustainable development of rural distance education, continuously meet rural great demand for information and knowledge and promote knowledge diffusion, transformation, application, value-added and innovative, with a view of achieving economy and overall optimization of knowledge.This paper includes following aspects:Part1, it introduces distance education definition, characteristics and prospects, analyses research trend about rural distance education at home and abroad, discusses construction status of rural distance education from media forms and resources transmission, and introduces knowledge concept, knowledge chain connotation, building elements, characteristics, management principles, management objectives and the existing knowledge-chain management model.Part2, it analyses knowledge chain in rural distance education, points out elements of rural distance education and knowledge-flows existing in system, describes knowledge chain management chart oriented rural distance education, and introduces knowledge chain management content about rural distance education. This is the difficult part of this paper.Part3, it constructs an example to prove the knowledge chain management structure put forward. It makes the special topic "viewing vegetables" as an example in this paper, and discusses the special topic in details from knowledge chain content design, knowledge base construction and environment. It introduces the special topic’s construction goal, preliminary investigation, thematic content units, controllable information sources and construction principle, describes its video materials processing and production, systems architecture, development environment and tools, the main module design and implementation, as well as the main functions of system implementation, etc., analyses its strengths, difficulties, opportunities and problems in order to establish SWOT matrix, and puts forward corresponding measures. Finally, a set of detailed flow chart of distance education construction mode has been put up. This is the key part of this paper.Part4, combined with empirical research and knowledge transfer factors in the knowledge chain management, it proposes knowledge chain management optimization model for rural distance education.This study makes a try about a variety of carriers and media forms of rural distance education resources how to realize effective integration and applying to rural areas. Knowledge chain as the dominant ideology, on the one hand, in resource content, it keeps actual needs of rural areas that studying the content form and characteristics more suitable for rural learners; on the other hand, in resource transmission, it makes full use of modern information technology such as internet, television, telephone, wireless communications and so on. Developping rural distance education, producing and transmissing rural electronic information products, make learners in rural areas get agricultural manufacturing technology, life and business skills and other technological and cultural knowledge, which is an important direction of rural information resources construction and application.
